There is this cool website I stumbled upon the other day, that has totally, weaned me off Facebook. It is called Polyvore and it is my new, addiction. For the social networker enthusiast that are really into fashion and shopping, I mean really into fashions and shopping, it is the coolest site to be on. For my online boutique like Syoul it is fashion marketing heaven, and for the fashion designers, it is free fashion pr at its best. For me being a soon to be shopping haven, online boutique owner, it could not come at better time, amid the real world crises of the economy, why drown in doubt when everyone can just polyvore, while still picking up and going straight to the website, that one item that looked really good in your collage and you know will look good on you. I have already gotten most of my friends to join, now I just have to get Syoul finished so they can polyvore syoul items, and shop at the same time. This is my first set.

This is my second set.

The coolest gladiator's around are by far from shoe designer extraordinaire Faryl Robin. Faryl Robin is the millennia answer to what John Fluevog was for the nineties, avant guard shoes with mass appeal. My current favourite in their Spring 2008 collection is their Gladiator sandals called Warriors, which are exquisite not just in form but style. Celebrities such as Rashida Jones and Lauren Conrad have been seen in Life & Style wearing theses cool sandals that are a must buy this season.
A legendary fashion innovator passed away in Paris on Sunday June 1, 2008. A true icon in the world of fashion, Yves St. Laurent was born in Oran, Algeria, Africa. He studied first at the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture and started his career at 17 working for another fashion great, French designer Christian Dior. Following Dior's death in 1957, Yves, at the age of 21, was put in charge of the Dior house. He revolutionized fashion with his trouser suits, highly coloured ethnic prints and designs inspired by the art world. He also made haute couture stylish, and ready-to-wear for the masses which made it popular. Yves was also one of the first designers to widely use black models in his fashion shows. Syoul recognises and acknowledges the work of this outstanding contributor to our world and extends condolences to his family and all who mourn his loss...May his soul REST IN PEACE.
